The 4th Scholarship distribution function took place on 4th August 2013. Various amounts of scholarships were distributed to 26 students towards education in different streams which includes engineering, arts and science, teacher’s training, and paramedics. The total amount valued to 2.75 lacks which is 30% higher than the last year’s amount.
Aran foundation has planned to expand further by approaching different schools in Kanchipuram district to find the needy students. The school management will be sent iteration letters requesting to meet the final year school students. Further, recommendations would also be asked from the school.

ARAN FOUNDATION is a registered charitable trust formed by a group of friends on September 8 of year 2009, coinciding with WORLD LITERACY day with objective of helping deserving students from financially backward families, who were unable to pursue their higher education due to financial constraints. Last year, they received application from 20 students and 12 amount them were shortlisted to receive financial assistance. Last year, they handed over assistance to the tune of Rs.79, 000 and it has gone up to Rs.1.25 Lakhs this year.
